VALorisation of treated wastewater and slUdgE in view of Circular Economy and INdustrial symbiosis

Terra&Acqua Tech laboratory

Logos

The project will leverage the experience of the Terra&Acqua Tech laboratory acquired at the University of Ferrara in the development and optimization of technologies to reduce anthropogenic impacts on the environment, through the implementation of new environmental remediation methodologies and the process innovation for the treatment of urban and/or industrial wastewater with chemical, biological and phyto-purification technologies.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT:

Within the project activities of the Phase 3, Terra&Aqua Tech laboratory will carry out experimental tests regarding microalgae phyto-purification technology aimed at reducing the nitrogen and phosphorus load of supernatant concentrated streams deriving from the sludge line of municipal wastewater treatment plants.
